I sure do love my Daddy!

*waves* Hey y'all! Hope everyone is managing to stay cool in all this heat! I have been a bit busy lately, with kids, and a couple of projects in the works. But anyhow, a couple of weeks ago I shot off an email to my Daddy (who is a carpenter, and a jack of all trades) and asked him if he could make a few different sized molds for me. Now don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my silicone's, but the wooden ones are more uniform, and I don't have to worry about having to put stuff against the sides of the molds to hold it in place. The soap sizes will look better (read: more like actual soaps lol) after cutting too I think. Anyhow, here's the molds. :)
All I did was tell him the sizes (measurements) that I needed and give him some examples. It didn't take him long to get these done at all, plus he made dividers for me in case I wanted to do two separate batches. Aren't they lovely? He just did five more of the same for me, and I just have to go pick them up.
Now I just have to get some butcher paper, a couple of more oils that I need ( i am close to out), and get a few more scents and things and I am ready to rock! I can't wait to use these.  I think I am going to take one day where it isn't so hot out and use all the molds. I am really excited! *smiles*
So stay tuned for more soaps soon! :)
Btw, since I mentioned my Daddy on here, let me show you a few other things he has made.
This is the side view of a changing table that he made for my little niece's dollies.

This is the front view of the same dollie changing table.
Front view of a covered porch, that has a doggie doorway for the inside furbabies to run to the bathroom, or get some outside time. Not sure you can see it, but the area they are going into he did the fencing for as well.

Side view of the doggie friendly covered porch.
Covered Smokehouse that my Daddy built for my Aunt's job. :)

Underside of the Smokehouse shelter. Please note, he didn't create the smokehouse sign. ;)
Another covered deck that he built for my Aunt. :)

A close up look.
My Daddy also builds birdhouses, and can custom build pretty much anything you can think of. He's been in carpentry and building for ages. So in saying this, if you are local (in and around the Triad of NC) and have a hunnie do list that you need done, he is the person that you want to try to schedule for it. He is affordable, focused and very efficient with his work. Feel free to contact me here, or on facebook (for those who have that info) and I'll put you in touch with him. Also if your not local and you want a birdhouse (website hopefully coming soon), or something else decorative, just drop us a note and we'll see what we can do. :)
Well folks, it's time for me to get a bite to eat. Stop back by soon!!
Suds & Bubbles,
Soapy
Who is happy to say that she has the most wonderful Daddy in all the land!
